Korean Style Short Rib Marinade

1 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
½ cup sugar
6 Tbsp sesame seed oil
6 Tbsp. mirin (rice wine)
1-2 Tbsp. garlic-freshly chopped
1 Tbsp ginger-freshly chopped
5 green onions-finely chopped
2-3 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Boil the soy sauce and water together. Add the sugar and stir to dissolve. Add the remaining ingredients. Cool and use as a marinade for beef short ribs, or other pieces of meat.
(We thoroughly enjoyed the beef short ribs we marinated in this mixture, and then grilled to medium rare.)
